I have been a portrait photographer for the past 20 years and I can honestly say that I LOVE my job.
Over the years I have noticed one thing that makes me sad. mothers are almost always the ones behind the camera, documenting family life and this in itself is fantastic, except for one thing...from your family's point of view one of the most important members ends up missing from the pictures. It's the same in my studio, most of the women who come to me, are there to have their children or grandchildren photographed, I am regularly met with a list of excuses why they don't want to be photographed.... they tell me.... they are not photogenic, they say they need to have their hair done, they need to loose some weight .... and I understand that I am a mother who has all of the same excuses, but I promise I know how to make you feel comfortable I know how to pose you so that you look fabulous in front of my camera. I know that I can take the most beautiful photographs of you, that you and your family will fall in love with, and I'm confident that the images from your session will one day be the most valuable family heirlooms that you and or your children will own
